I will be conducting a class this coming Saturday, October 10th, on how to create
a studio portrait.

‘Big deal’, you say?  ‘Been done a million times’, you say?  Ah, read on.

What so many photographers don’t know is how to stay out of trouble, how to maintain control of the set, how to work within ’safe zones’, how to get the subject to contribute to the making of their own portrait, how to use studio lighting in simple but powerful ways. In short, not just what to do, but also what NOT to do. If you would like to learn how to make simple, satisfying, meaningful portraits that will stand the test of time, please attend my class at The Santa Clarita Center for Photography on October 10th from 9-4.
